Prima Princessa’s Nutcracker:a review

Ok. So it won't be all about my new products all the time on this blog of mine.
We are working on my website to dedicate to it. I am just super excited! ;-)

We got a perfect video in the mail last week to review:
Prima Princessa’s Nutcracker
My girls love it. And my three year old is becoming a little ballerina, with the correct words and all! This hour long video features the famous story of the Nutcracker showing bits from England's Birmingham Royal Ballet. It also explains the words for the different ballet positions, so your little ones can dance along too. Believe me, mine can't help themselves!

Well put together, and fun to listen to as the holidays are approaching.

Kitten Party: a review

Look what dropped on my door step last week!
Screams of glee, "and awww, they are sooo adore-able!" is what I heard as I took it out of its envelope.
Kitten Party. This DVD is from the makers of Puppy Party and is a low key video that my little one particularly likes to watch at bed time. Whiskers the kitten narrates this 70 minute video filled with tons of different breeds of kittens, and shares what it is exactly these furry little creatures like to do. They are in full kitten mode mischievous and frisky, barely missing trouble as they romp through this video.
Because it is such a low key video, it is perfect for a quiet time moment for your little one to just chill out and watch. Little wee ones would probably enjoy it too.

Kitten Party can be found at www.amazon.com.
At K-mart, Sears, and Ross...
or hop online and check it out at nCircle entertainment!

Wings and Things: A review

Migration, Nocturnal, Cooperation, shrinkamadoodle...huh?
Does your kid have a Dr. Suess vocabulary??

I may be a bit biased.
I grew up loving Dr. Suess and his zaney vocabulary wonderfulishissness!

But- this one is SOOOOO cute.
Who doesn't think Thing-a-ma-jigger is one of the best words ever?

Meet Sally and Nick a brother and sister pair that follow the Cat in the Hat just about everywhere!
IN:
The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That!
This 60 minute video includes:

Learning about the honey dance and the bees that do it.
The "migration vacation."
Nocturnal animals
Animals that travel with their homes AND ants working together. It's a fun and quick moving video that your preschooler can learn lots from.

This new series has Martin Short as the voice of the Cat and will be airing on PBS this fall.

Pirate Sheep: A review

Welcome to a place where words come alive!  Word World!
Word World airs on PBS and is an entire show that EVERYTHING is shaped (drawn to look like)
what their word is.

We were finally able to spend some time this week in the hot weather watching our cool DVD's we got in the mail from NCircle Entertainment to review this month.

New on DVD: World World: Pirate Sheep

This is a 60 minute video and has 4 episodes Pirate ShipSuperhero Sheep and Wee Little Whale, which all star the character Sheep.  It also has Mail Mix Up, which has the silly character named Duck.  Word World is a fun and educational show for preschool age kids.  It not only teaches  letters and how they make words, but also has some great socialization content  too.
Though only my 3 year old was interested in this one, it still was wholesome and I could feel good about letting her watch it...and with the running time of 60 minutes I could actually sneak a shower in there too.
;-)
This DVD was released on June 8th, from NCircle Entertainment.  It can be purchased directly from NCircle or from Amazon and Toys R Us.

Under Pressure: A review

New on DVD!

Nope, I am not talking about the song by Queen. Although THAT  is one of my absolute favorites.....but I digress.

I am talking about a unique series for young children called Dive Olly Dive and their new DVD:
Under Pressure
This 60 minute video features the adventures of two young research submarines in training. Olly and Beth.
They learn that if they use teamwork anything is possible.  In these 5 episodes, there are bits in there about how to keep our oceans clean and how important that is too.

This was a new series for our family and kept their attention.
But it wasn't one that they asked for again and again.

We will have to check out the other videos available:
Whale of a Tail: About telling the truth
The Adventure begins in the sea: about being considerate
AND
Ship Shape Sub: About listening to others and learning from mistakes

Available here from: NCircle Entertainment:
July 6, 2010.
Offered at a special introductory price of $6.99
