The day I got asked to the Emmys: the letter: part 4

writing this letter was like nothing I have ever done before.
It felt difficult to do at the time, but it was the most crazy empowering thing I have done for myself in a long time. I can easily tell someone how awesome they are. I can easily tell someone they should go for it.
It somehow felt a million times harder when I was telling it to myself.
It felt like I was jumping into the water.
I took a leap of faith in myself.
I believe in myself.
And I finally said it out loud.
Hello to the girl I call "ISTHISCRAZYTOWN?"  ;)
you have turned my world upside down in a matter of 24 hours.
I am beyond honored that you contacted me.
The short notice is truly killing me.

I am not the kind of person to do anything half way and
I certainly am not the kind of person who would ever go the generic route.
So I am at a standstill because for me, it's all or nothing.
I am brutally honest, so I guess that is why I am telling you all this.

I AM WONDERING:
*Do you have any success stories?
has anything ever landed on a tv segment? or in a magazine?
I know it's a risk. It could be nothing but the experience....and a lot of money lost.
I need to know, In your experience, has it ever turned into anything more than that?

I am just a really quirky, artsy mama and a girl who loves the world.
I opened my shop hoping that maybe I could make some people smile
and pay for life's extras for my family.
A vacation. An awesome theater camp. A weekend on jetskis....
Having an opportunity where MAYBE it could turn into something more is HUGE.
Spending that kind of money to do this is a HUGE deal.
So, I have to ask,
DO you ever bet on someone?

I feel like I can tell you without blinking that I am one of a kind.
I am genuine and sincere.
I feel like if I could get there, I would make an impression.
My stuff is quirky and one of a kind. As am I.
I don't know who I would meet, but I know they would remember me,
and what ever I bring would be unique and make them smile.
I would without a doubt add to your event.
If I succeed, so do you.
I was up most the night brainstorming and have lots of ideas.
But can not come up with that kind of money in such a short period of time.
I truly hope I don't seem unprofessional.
My shop is ran NOTHING BUT professional.
aubreyplays comes from the heart.
That's what my shop is all about.
So with my heart, I had to at least ask.
Can't live with regret you know?
Even if your response now is "ISTHISCRAZYTOWN?"
Maybe we will both at least smile about it.
Thank you for the time you spent reading this.
I wish you all the best of luck.
very sincerely,
Aubrey

so, remember how I said I pressed send and went up to take a shower?
I thought this story was all over. I absolutely did not expect a reply.
But, this was in my in-box:
Pack your bags, start picking out items. Let's have a phone call asap. Are you around? Cell # ?
I have good $$ news for you.

I am about to say something else out loud.
I have never been prouder of myself.
