I don't have to, but I'm going to...

Do you ever feel like the standard of service is just DYING?
Please tell me I am not the only one who at times will tell the cashier "you have a nice day"
only to prove a point, which is, your service kind-a sucked today.

So that is why I feel the absolute need to give a shout out to the businesses that knock my socks off.
That make me feel like chivalry is not dead. I don't have to, but I'm going to.

Today I must tell you about a shop called zipit.
I went looking to buy bulk zippers and stumbled across it on Etsy.
With-in minutes of placing my order I received a friendly email THANKING me for my order and telling me exactly when it was going out to me (the very next day).
{I already was smitten. Wow, I think I will like this shop.}

I got my package in the mail yesterday (only a few days after I ordered my zippers) and it was decorated in the happiest tape I have ever seen.
{totally excited now to open my package of yes, zippers}

Once inside, you won't believe it but she sent me candy and a little toy.
{I suddenly felt like I was opening a surprise package.  A little gift, not my boring zipper order}

Everything was exactly right. And I had my zippers.
{see, now I had my socks knocked off.}

It is the little things that make me happy.

It is the little things that make your customers think you give a darn.
It is THAT kind of attention that will make me a faithful follower and come to you first next time.
I wish every transaction could feel that good.  I'm just saying.

BTW
if your not in the market for zippers, Zipit had a darling selection of Japanese fabrics....
and darling ribbon
AND OH MY how cute are you!!?? zipper pulls

please leave some for me ;)

  1. Glad you took the time to make such a post. Reason 1 - I get to check out a new shop on Etsy. Reason 2 - you're right about Customer Service. However, I will have to say it works both ways. I work in Retail and my coworkers always laugh at me because I often say that people should have to work in Retail before they can shop it. :-) I found many times where people don't respond to my greetings. But it doesn't change how I am with the next person. Now I'm off to Etsy...

    Thanks!
