Snow Daize

I have to send a big shout out to my friend for her post here.
She has been totally rocking with ideas for things to do with your kiddos lately.
We are starting to get antsy here.
My kids are starting to drive me a tad nuts.
So we did two of these cool things that she listed.
Cookie cutter ice cubes.
And this snow melting experiment:

Other ideas she had: Make decorative ornaments for the trees outside.  First, cut lengths of yarn and put them in disposable cups with a long tail hanging out.  Then  fill them with water and put in a few drops of food coloring.  Once they are frozen solid, cut away the cup and hang from trees in the yard.  It's been interesting to see how the colors fade, how the ice drips and reforms and just generally pretty to look at.

Have them write a story using this prompt:
Good luck with all these SNOW DAYS!!!
