Scrap Weekend

Some RESULTS:

Ok.  SO here is the scene.  The foyer at an Awesome Girlfriends house named Tara.   YES. The Foyer.   Me and my best girls spend the entire weekend chatting, laughing and scrapping.  Like a sleepover from when you were little.  But WAY better.

These are the Days....

It was my theme song when I graduated high School.  Funny, I don't really remember the bulk of it.  Nor so I think I actually want to.

THESE are the days I'll remember.  They go by sooo fast.  

She actually has discussions with me now.

Can you believe it?  Yes, they may be about her brother riding the bus.  Her Moose being "so cute."  The sky being "all wet".  But we talk all day now.  I want to remember every second of the sweetness in the way she looks at me.  The adoration is unmistakable.

This is a day I will remember. Acting silly on a beautiful spring day in the back yard with the self timer.  My baby saying I look "so pretty mama."  She was laughing about being "so crazy mama."

At that moment, nothing else mattered.  Truly.

WHY?

WHY?  She will not wear them.  But they are adorable.  But they match almost everything she owns.   But they are so "her."  

But I LOVE them.

She just will not wear them.

Camera Phone Cool.

So I got this really high tech know what's going on at all times kind of phone for my birthday in January.

I guess it is as important for a busy mom as a high powered Executive....but sometimes it feels silly.  I do like it a lot.  My favorite thing on it is the camera.  It does pretty good for a phone!

I think it is my kids least favorite....cause even Starbucks becomes a photo opportunity for mom.

Some day they'll thank me.

Project 365: February

Through the Glass

Snapped this last Friday.

So cute.  

SO glad I had my camera near by.

I could hear giggling and the words..."so silly Collie"

Her big brother was home, fresh off the school bus and giving his baby sister sweet kisses through the glass.

"ahh, mom...it looks like we're REALLY kissing!"

Collin concerned with coolness I suppose when he saw this image pop up on my computer.

"Nah...look at her hand.  Unless you think she's a mime." I consoled him.  "Besides WHO CARES if you give your baby sister a smootch?"

"True mom.  She is so sweet."

Enjoying the Process

Picking up crochet again.  Haven't done it for years.  Lily has an aversion to jackets these days, so I decided to make her  a little poncho.

I am enjoying the calming rhythmic effect it has on me...And a plus... hopefully an adorable poncho!
